About Barnhartvale
Barnhartvale is a nice mix of residential and rural. It is located a short distance east of the Kamloops City centre.
Barnhartvale is a community approximately 15 minutes east of the city center of Kamloops. Some areas of this region can range in distance due to the rural nature of the region. The main area of Barnhartvale includes a mix of homes, mainly detached, sitting on larger lots. It is not uncommon to find small estates, acreages and hobby farms in the area. Further east in Barnhartvale the larger farms and agricultural activities exist. Blackwell Dairy Farm is located in Barnhartvale along with a number of other local businesses.
There is a local elementary school in Barnhartvale and secondary students attend the newly renovated and built Valleyview Secondary School (2021/22). There is not much for shopping in the Barnhartvale area. There is a local gas station with convenience store on Barnhartvale road. The neighborhood called Dallas, which is located north of Barnhartvale has some basic shopping with a grocery store, gas station and smaller retailers.
