About Valleyview

Valleyview is located east of Downtown Kamloops.

It is bordered by the South Thompson River to the north and Juniper Ridge to the south. This area runs parallel with the Trans Canada Highway through the valley. Valleyview features a mix of different types of residential homes as well as a number of commercial properties, businesses, hotels, restaurants, grocery stores and more. Many people like Valleyview due to the close proximity to city amenities, shopping and access to the Highway.

Valleyview is known for it's large lots. Many properties sit on 1/4 acre or larger residential lots. There are a few townhouse developments, some condos, mainly geared towards seniors and bare land strata developments.

There is a area of Valleyview called Rose Hill which sits in the hills to the south of the main area of Valleyview and to the west of Juniper Heights. Rose Hill is known for it's large executive homes that have sprawling views and sit on large residential lots. There are only single family homes in Rose Hill.

A number of properties in Valleyview sit along the river and have nice river frontage. Many of these homes feature docks for boats. Valleyview riverfront homes are very sought after due to the few options available for waterfront.

There is basic shopping located in Valleyview with a Save-on-foods, Shopper Drug Mart and a number of other retailers. The larger box stores are uptown and only a short 10 minute drive from most Valleyview homes.

Valleyview is serviced by an elementary and secondary school. Valleyview Secondary had a large renovation and addition in 2021/22. There are two elementary schools in the Valleyview area.

There is also regular and frequent public transportation through the area.
