About Brocklehurst

Historically an area of Kamloops where fruit trees dominated the region. Brock is known to be one of the warmer areas of Kamloops.

Brocklehurst used to have acres of orchards, tomato and hops farming. Sometimes you will see remnants of the historical farming times when travelling through the area. Brock is known to have very nice large flat lots where owners enjoy lots of elbow space, large workshops and pools. Brock runs between 12th Street and reaches out past the Kamloops Airport (YKA).
There are a lot of parks scattered throughout Brock along with Brock Arena which also is the home to a popular outdoor pool for those warmer months. The rivers trail is also a popular feature of the area where it parallels the Thompson River and reaches Padova or Tranquille Fresh Farm.

Most of Brock is residential and it is one of the larger neighborhoods in Kamloops. There is a property for every buyer; mobile homes, condos or apartments, townhomes, bare land strata developments, single family detached homes, riverfront estates and multi family homes (duplex/triplex/fourplex).

There is local shopping in Brock with a Save-on-Foods, Shoppers Drug Mart and other smaller local retailers. There are a few restaurants as well however most of the shopping is in the North Shore district which is a short drive from most Brock homes. Public bus service is available throughout Brock.

There are two schools in Brock presently for school age children. Parkcrest Elementary School which presently is located at George Hilliard due to a catastrophic fire that burnt Parkcrest Elementary School down in 2019. They are currently in the process of rebuilding this school on it’s original site. Middle school students attend Brock Middle School and Highschool students attend North Kamloops Secondary School.

If you want to stay out of the snow belt and live on a larger, more private lot, Brock would be worth considering!
